One of the things I hear most often from my clients and students is, "how do I shut it off?"
Especially if they work from home.
The secret is....take time off and make it a habit. The more you practice shutting off the creativity that goes into running your business and allow time to 'download', the easier it becomes. There is so much benefit in taking time off.
I hear you. I've been there too. The truth is by taking time off and making it a priority, you'll achieve more in your business and in your life.
Taking time off creates:
1. Life work balance. When you give to all area's of your life, you honor your true self and live from your true core.
2. You'll get more done by being more productive. Think about how much work you accomplish the last day or two before you go on vacation. Now multiply that by taking weekends off. Unplug the electronics, kick back and do something that nourishes you.
3. Starting fresh and with a full tank creates more productivity. It also recharges your creativity. Looking at a project from a place of clarity and renewal can super charge that project into more than you would have accomplished over lots of coffee and a long weekend.
How do you enjoy your time off or what I call "download" time?
